HERITAGE MADE WEARABLE

MEET THE FOUNDER

Bawo Ijirigho, great-grand nephew of Nigerian agricultural pioneer Nana Olomu, is the founder and creative force behind Ilé Olomu, a distinguished fragrance house inspired by heritage and storytelling. Rooted in his family's legacy and guided by a modern artistic vision, Bawo brings the spirit of West Africa into the world of fine perfumery. Each Ilé Olomu fragrance was co-developed in Zürich in close collaboration with master perfumer Andreas Wilhelm, whose depth of expertise and artistry helped bring these scents to life. Their partnership blends European refinement with culturally rich inspiration, resulting in compositions that are both sophisticated and soulful. Ilé Olomu’s signature fragrances represent a unique harmony of precision and personal heritage. Modern olfactory works shaped by two creative minds.

Our Name, Our Legacy

Ilé means “house” in Yoruba. It’s a word we chose to reclaim our roots. While many fragrance houses follow the French tradition of “Maison,” we chose a path that reflects who we are. Ilé Olomu is not just a house of scent. It is a house of heritage, story, and spirit. Olomu comes from my great-grand uncle, Nana Olomu, a respected agricultural trader in 19th-century West Africa who worked with the British. His strength and legacy live on in every bottle we create. Our journey began with inspiration drawn from the textures, rituals, and richness of West Africa. It took shape with Andreas Wilhem in Zürich, Switzerland, where our scents were brought to life. Now, Ilé Olomu is preparing to arrive on shelves near you.
